My Favorite Websites

OK, here are the websites I cannot live without:

1. www.myspace.com
-This is how I keep in touch with a lot of my friends.
-I also love to play sority life and yoville on there

2. www.facebook.com
-This is how I keep in touch with my friends that aren't on myspace
-I love the scavenger hunt and hatchlings applications

3. www.powerpets.com
-I love this site. It is kind of like webkinz type thing, though you don't have to buy anything to play on it, and it is a bit more involved.
-I have been playing on this site for years, so I over a million power bucks. I think it is the only place online or offline that I don't have to worry how much money I spend. lol

4. www.webkinz.com
-Ok, the whole reason I got on here was cause of my daughter. She has tons of webkinz and I wanted to be involved in her online activities with hovering, you know what I mean? So when I came across a bogo for webkinz i got her another one and picked up one for myself.
-Though I have to admit, I kind of enjoy it!

5. www.freestufftimes.com
-Ok, I love free stuff. Who doesn't? I even run my own freebie group. But this site is one of the best. I love it!

6. www.giveawayoftheday.com
-Another freebie site right? Well everyday this place gives away a different type of computer software. I have got all kinds of useful things from them. My favorite is the photo morphing software.

7. www.spiralfrog.com
-A free, legal, music download site. They've got tons of stuff to choose from! My favorite type of music is country, and it is actually pretty difficult to find free country mp3 downloads, not here though!

8. http://majman.net/fly_loader.html
-Ok, this is gross and disgusting. It is also very addictive. It is a virtual flyswatter flash game. The point is to swat as many flys as you can as quick as you can. It's a good time killer

9. http://www.i-am-bored.com/
-Ok, if you are bored as the web address suggests, this is the best place ever! They've got videos, games, pictures, etc... All kinds of stuff and the are updated throughout the day, everyday, so you pretty much never run out of something to check out on here.

10. http://www.conceptlab.com/simulator/
-This is weird, stupid, addictive, and interesting all in one. How many websites can do that for you? It is a simulation game, simulating if you worked at McDonalds.

Ok, now that you see where i spend most of my time online, you can see that I have issues. lol
So if anybody has a link to free online therapy, send it my way!!!

Time Marches On.

The baby is finally in his own room! He is 13 months old. First I kept in our room longer due to his heart monitor, but he was ready to be in his own room. So we cleaned out the storage room and turned it into his bedroom.
It is so great!!! I can roll around in bed with having to worry about waking up the baby!!! Two nights ago was the first night he was in there. He woke up at 3am and it took me till almost 5am to get him back to sleep. Last night though he slept through the whole night!!
One one hand, I am so very excited. But on the other I am a bit saddened to realize that my baby is not really a baby anymore. He is a toddler and he grows more everyday. Heck, my daughter is almost 8 yrs old!
I tell her I am going to stop feeding her so she will stop growing (a joke of course) and she laughs and says, "Mom, you can't do that. I'll just starve to death".
I know, even if we don't want it to:

New blog for Photography

I have decided to start a blog solely for my photography.

http://ammariespictures.blogspot.com/

10 Thing I can't live without

10 Things I can't live without
(well i probably could, but I don't want to)
1. Mints
I cannot stand to have bad breath. I am literally addicted to mints. I go through almost a pack a day sometimes
2. My computer/Internet
It is my lifeline to the rest of the world
3. My family
I do not know what I would do without them
4. My comfy around the house sweat pants
There is just something about coming home and putting them on that just oozes relaxation
5. Music
It is the spice of life
6. Garlic salt
I love this spice, I add it to almost everything I eat. (now you see why I have the mint addiction right? lol)
7. Books
I love to read. It is one of my favorite past times
8. My camera
I love to take pictures. Thank goodness for digital cameras, other wise I would probably be going through two or three rolls of film a day!
9. My girls
I have met some amazing women lately thanks to the internet. And even though I don't know these ladies in real life, I don't know what I would do without them. They are my best friends.
10. My memory
I love looking back on events throughout my life. Births, Marriages, heck, even some very interesting family vacations! I have to say that the family road trip to south carolina for my brother's graduation from the Marine corp was absolutey hilarous! But that is a story for another time.

Photography and me

OK, I'm really interested in becoming a photographer of sorts. Though I'm not sure if my skill is anywhere near good.
Above are two of my favorites that I have taken. The first I call, "A close up with Ben"
It is of a cat names Benny that my Aunt owns.
The second I call, "A Portrait of a Squirrel gone bad"
It is of a squirrel that I took a picture of on my honeymoon.
I plan to add some new pictures every week or so now to help improve my skill. Just wait and see what I come up with next!

The weather around here.

I just wanted to share with you all why I am in such a hurry for spring to get here. I took this picture about a week and a half ago during the ice storm. As you can see by the yellow building, the picture was not taken in black and white. It was also taken in the middle of the day, yet look how dark it was. That was the ice that just now has melted. Well most of it anyway.
COME ON SPRING!!

Just a normal Sunday

Ugh. Sometimes I wonder why does life go the way it does? I mean seriously, think about Murphy's law. Why do we need it? You know it's true.
If it can happen it will happen.

Ok, Ok, I know, I am rambling. It's just been one of those days. Maybe I should explain........

First we had to get up really early this morning to go to the neighbor's house. Now this in a way was a good thing. They were replacing their carpet and giving us their old one. Except, we showed up at the agreed upon time only to find out that the carpet man hadn't. We had borrowed a truck for this purpose so we were on a somewhat tight schedule. Finally the carpet guy showed up. After about another hour or so of moving a little bit more furniture and pulling the carpet up, it was finally ready. Carpet man and helper loaded it into the truck for us. Then we headed to grandma's house. We had to take it to her house and store it in her basement because we weren't ready to put it in our place yet. Well, Hubby and i go to move it and that's when we realized that it was heavier then we thought. Hubby isn't the strongest guy in the world, and I have a bad back. Yet we have to get this carpet out of the truck, down the basement stairs and into the basement. And we have to do it quickly cause we have to get the truck back.
Well to shorten the story up some, we ended up actually pushing it out of the truck and down the stairs while crossing our fingers that the carpet didn't get damaged.

Ok, so there is part one. Now onto part two of my day.

Hubby dropped me off at the Aunt's house to pick up the baby.
[Oh crap, I guess I didn't explain that part either. Ok, really quick, most of my family live on the same road, there's me, hubby and our two kids ( 7yr old daughter and 1yr old son/baby), then grandma and pap, then a neighbor (The one who gave us the carpet), then my aunt's house.
Our daughter went to church with the grandparents and we had dropped the baby off at her house that morning so she could babysit while we moved the carpet.]
All right, caught up now?
Anyway, I went in to Aunt's house to get baby ready to leave while hubby switched the truck for our car. Except baby was sleeping. And there is NO WAY I was going to wake him up. So I had to wait, which ate another chunk of time up. Finally baby wakes up and we all go home. (Well except for daughter, she is still out with the grandparents)

Part Three (getting bored with this yet? lol)

Hubby and I are trying to clean out the living room cause that's where we want to put the new carpet. Well baby isn't having any of that. All little man wanted to do, was make sure mommy and daddy didn't get anything done. It was kind of cute cause i was putting stuff in boxes and he was going behind me pulling it back out. So hubby and are tired and have accomplished nothing, and daughter calls. Her and the grandparents are back and she's headed home to help clean. Yeah right. So her and her brother are running around like crazy kids and the phone rings.

It's my dad. Him and mom are having a fight over their water-bed which is leaking. So he proceeds to tell me all about it. Just about the time he was finishing talking, Mom beeps in. Then she proceeds to tell me all about it as well. Woopie. Going to drive me nuts I tell you.

So then dad calls back cause he needs help with the water bed, so hubby heads down there (parents live next road over) to help him. Then the baby woke from his nap. Shortly after he fell asleep. So he was a super cranky bum. He was miserable and making daughter miserable and they were both giving mommy a headache. So mommy gave up on cleaning anything.

What a wonderful waste of a day right? lol

I AM SICK OF REALITY!!!! I WANT MY FAIRLY ODD PARENTS!!!
